Acer announces its Acer TravelMate Spin B3 (TMB311R-32), a new k 2-in-1 laptop convertible into a multi-touch touchscreen tablet designed for school children with a next-generation Intel Jasper Lake processor.

The Acer TravelMate Spin B3 (TMB311R-32) is a new hybrid laptop that has the particularity of being able to open 360° to turn into a tablet thanks to its 11.6-inch screen with Full HD multi-touch touch technology that can be used with fingers or the Wacpom AED stylus (optional) which has its own compartment on the right side of the PC so that it can be stored easily without misplacing it.

The screen is adorned with a Corning Gorilla Glass protective layer with antimicrobial coating. The screen is surmounted by a Full HD webcam with sliding cover to protect privacy. Another webcam, 5 megapixels is also present.

The Acer TravelMate Spin B3 (TMB311R-32) is built around a very low power Intel processor (TDP 6W) Jasper Lake Celeron Dual Core N4500 (1.1 GHz), Celeron Quad Core N5100 (1.1 GHz) or Pentium Quad Core Silver N6000 (1.1 GHz), all with integrated Intel UHD graphics.

This 2-in-1 ultraportable benefits from Wi-Fi ax (2x2, Wi-Fi 6) and optional 4G/LTE connectivity, an HDMI video output, Headphone/Microphone and Ethernet combo audio ports, 2 USB 3.0 or even 1 USB 3.2 Type-C (Gen1) and a card reader.

This new hybrid laptop designed to compete with Chromebooks (which run Google Chrome OS) promises to meet the MIL-STD-810F military-grade ruggedness standard, with resistance to splashes, shock absorption or even pressure up to 60 Kg.

The Acer TravelMate Spin B3 (TMB311R-32) offers an announced autonomy of 12 hours and is announced for April across the Atlantic, from 329 dollars.

A non-convertible tablet edition with a starting price of $239 is also planned, the Acer TravelMate B3.

In Europe, these Chromebooks targeting school children are expected for the 2nd quarter of 2021.
