Amazfit unveils three new watches including the GTR 3 and GTS 3 at 159€

I don't know if you know the brand's watches, or even the brand itself. Amazfit is a fairly recent brand since it dates back to 2015. It specializes in the design of smart watches. Just recently, she presented her new releases. Amazfit has just unveiled its three new connected watches: the GTS 3, GTR 3 and GTR 3 Pro.

If you don't know their watches, I strongly urge you to read on. I have personally used the Amazfit Bip watch. It is clearly not as "connected" as the following or the most recent watches from competitors such as Samsung or Apple. On the other hand, it has many advantages such as a price lower than 80 euros and a very good autonomy. I stop talking about this watch which dates from 2018 to describe the 2021 editions of Amazfit watches.

The Chinese brand has decided to do what it takes to appeal to as many people as possible. Indeed, it offers watches of different shapes which offer a good autonomy and which are marketed at attractive prices. The brand continues to develop its watches but keeps its guideline and that's good for us.

Amazfit GTS 3

Before deciding on a Huawei GT, I hesitated for a long time with the Amazfit GTS. This is the third version of this model. The GTS 3 is distinguished from the other two watches by a rectangular dial. Yes that's right, it should remind you a bit of the Apple Watch.

It has a 1.75″ curved Amoled Ultra HD panel that is positioned on a thin, aluminum case that includes a rotating crown (with haptic feedback) on the left side. It is used for navigation within the interface.

Thanks to its various sensors, the GTS 3 is able to monitor the level of oxygen in the blood, heart rate, stress level or even your breathing rate.

You can also use it to monitor the quality of your sleep but also as a sports coach (150 sports including intelligent recognition of 8 sports). Besides, there is a function that appeals to me: Virtual Placer. During your run, the watch will display an icon representing a previous run, allowing you to compare your performance in real time. If you prefer swimming, the watch is 5ATM waterproof.

If personalizing your watch is important (depending on your mood, for example), you can choose from 100 watch faces. There are also 15 animated dials and 12 editable dials. If this is still not enough for you, you can insert your own photos. Finally, by searching the web a bit, I'm pretty sure you'll find even more watch faces.

The brand has also integrated the voice assistant Amazon Alexa. As soon as you are no longer connected, an offline voice assistant takes over to allow you to perform certain actions.

A 250mAh battery powers the device. It gives it, according to Amazfit, an autonomy of 12 days in standard use. It goes down to 6 days in intensive use.

The Amazfit GTS 3 watch is available in three colors: graphite black, terra rosa pink and ivory white. It is available for pre-order at €159.99. It will be available from October 25.

FYI, the GTS is now below 90 euros and the GTS 2 costs €149.90. Finally, the price increase compared to V2 is really minimal.

Amazfit GTR 3

For its GTR 3, Amazfit uses the formula already proven with the GTR 2. We therefore find a circular aluminum dial with 2 physical buttons (including a circular crown). The display is on a 1.39″ curved Amoled HD screen. It therefore adopts a look that is closer to traditional watches.

To monitor the various indicators (stress, oxygen level, heart rate and sleep), there is the BioTracker PPG 3.0 biometric sensor integrated in the GTS. All this is possible thanks to the 6 photodiodes integrated into this sensor.

Concerning the activities, this other model offers the same number of activities as the model presented above (150 sports including 8 detected automatically).

Like the GTS 3, it offers the Virtual Placer option, menstrual cycle tracking, the same voice assistants and has a water resistance level of 5ATM.

On this model, the autonomy is even more comfortable with 21 days, almost double that offered by the GTS 3. It increases to 10 days in intensive use. I specify once again that this is the data provided by the manufacturer. This may vary when used in real conditions. It all depends on the functions used.

As you can imagine, the GTR 3 also runs Zepp OS. It is available in two colors: lightning black and moon grey.

The Amazfit GTR 3 is offered at 159.90 euros. The brand will ship the watch starting October 25. The price of the GTR 3 is the same as that of the GTS 3. It's up to you to see which form and functions you prefer. Autonomy is another criterion to take into account.

Always to compare, know that the GTR now cost less than 80 euros and that the GTR 2 is still at 169.90 €. So if you hesitate, take the GTR 3 unless you are interested in the GTR 3 Pro.

Amazfit GTR 3 Pro, the brand's new premium watch

Like the Amazfit GTR 3, the GTR 3 Pro has a circular aluminum dial. Its size is a little larger since it has a 1.45″ Amoled Ultra HD panel offering a definition of 480 x 480px. The box has the same buttons as the GTR 3.

On the sensors and tracking side, it's the same formula as for the GTR 3. No additional function on this side.

It's the only one that can take calls via Bluetooth. It can also control the music present on your smartphone, or even play the one present locally.

Inside, the brand has integrated a 450mAh battery which would give it an autonomy of almost 12 days.

So it's the best equipped watch and yet it doesn't cost much more. The Amazfit GTR 3 Pro watch costs €199.99. It comes in two models: Infinite Black (with silicone strap) or Leather Brown (with leather strap).
