Netflix is already well established, and sufficiently varied and rich today not to cancel. The other services are already in the running to share the rest of the cake. And in this game, Disney + seems set to win big. Its price is very attractive and psychologically well placed to add to the user bill without it being too noticeable. They have Star Wars. They have Marvel. They have Pixar. They have…Disney!

Apple, which plays on family content and all audiences, will not have Disney. On the other hand, the apple has unveiled exclusive series and programs.

Disney+

It's official, Disney's streaming service, Disney+, will launch on November 12 at $6.99 per month or $69.99 per year. The United States is not the only country to benefit from this service, it will also be launched respectively at 8.99 Canadian dollars in Canada and 6.99 euros per month in the Netherlands. In France, the launch is scheduled for the first half of 2020.

Disney+ will be available to stream on connected TVs, web browsers, tablets, Android, iOS and game consoles. Disney's streaming service has already signed deals with Roku and Sony for its availability on their respective platforms.

Disney would launch its streaming service with “500 movies from the Disney library…in addition to approximately 7,000 Disney TV episodes” according to Hollywood Reporter. For comparison, in the USA Netflix had more than 6,700 films and 1,500 television series in 2018.

Disney is also preparing new series for the launch of its service: Marvel was working on a series based on the characters of the Avengers, Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan). There are still other Marvel series in development as well, including two confirmed projects focused on Loki and Hawkeye, a show from Monsters, Inc., a music show High School Musical, and a Star Wars series called The Mandalorian.

For its November launch, Apple TV Plus will arrive with just five series and shows:

Effectively, that's pretty meager for a launch and Apple would be adding series at a slower rate than its rivals. However, Apple has attracted a number of other big names, including Oprah Winfrey, who will bring two documentaries to TV Plus.

It must be said that the series that the multinational prepares are very expensive: The Morning Show, one of its loss leaders with Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon and Steve Carrel, would cost for example 300 million dollars for two seasons. As Numerama points out, this is the equivalent of the budget of the last season of Game of Thrones.
