Orange definitely appreciates the GAFA services a lot.Orange Business Services (Obs), the branch of the historic operator dedicated to companies, has just signed an important deal with the American Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the Cloud.According to Orange, this "global strategic agreement" aims to "help companies accelerate their digital transformation and draw the advantages of the cloud to adapt more quickly to market developments and user needs", specifies this Mondaygroup in a press release.
Orange and AWS will deploy new solutions of "modernization and migration, data analysis, innovation and security".As part of this agreement, Obs plans to create a "dedicated Center of Excellence based on AWS".The latter "will coordinate the joint development of a large training and certification program for more than 3.000 experts' of the operator.Orange also incorporates "the AWS resellers program", which will allow it to offer American group services to its customers.
Four months ago, Orange also signed a "strategic partnership" with Google, covering the areas of artificial intelligence and data use to develop new cloud services.
The list of large European groups who console with the American cloud giants continues to lie down.Recently, Nokia and Renault have decided to ally with Google Cloud. These announcements often make teeth cringe, at a time when Europe claims that it wants to regain its digital sovereignty, and less depend on the services of the American giants of the net.France and Germany are trying today, despite everything, to regain control through the European Cloud project "Gaia X".
