January 24, 1984: The first Macintosh
Apple's legendary computer hit the market 38 years ago. The “Big Blue” was then presented as a device that could revolutionize the market, the quality of which was even recognized by Bill Gates at the time. If since then, Apple has become synonymous with economic superpower, on January 24, 1984, it was still a David against Goliath fight that presented itself for the Cupertino company.
In terms of design, Apple has come a long way… But Hello to you too, a little revolution in a box!

This is good, the operator has since corrected the situation and today launched its new official card, taking up almost all of the 898 terminals deployed at the time. It has since been merged with that of the operator's shops.
January 28, 2015: launch of the Bbox Miami
A well-known Bbox in France is celebrating its birthday this week: the Miami. Presented in December 2014, this first “new generation” box, integrating the Android TV operating service, was finally available for Bouygues Telecom subscribers wishing to migrate.
The decoder therefore stood out, not only with access to Android applications, but also with its Bluetooth connectivity, its small size, its native compatibility with Chromecast... A novelty that arrived just before Free's first Android box : the mini 4K.
January 29, 2018: Free launches a very practical feature
A new function that has been directly integrated into the Freebox Pop server: a QR code to easily connect to WiFi. On January 29, 2018, Xavier Niel's operator launched a new update to its mini 4K and Revolution servers allowing you to create "guest" access, directly from its Freebox OS interface or from the Freebox Compagnon application. The principle was very simple and has not changed since: create a simple connection code to scan with your smartphone, with the possibility of limiting the duration during which the device will have access to your network.
All you had to do was display it on your smartphone, on your computer or even print this QR Code on a sheet of paper to distribute it to the guests who needed it. It is now possible to create one easily from your Freebox Connect application.
