According to SamMobile, the Samsung GalaxyS21 FE should be entitled to Android12 as soon as it is released. At first glance innocuous, this particularity will however make it a much more interesting smartphone than the other GalaxyS21 in terms of software experience.

It is now almost certain, the Samsung GalaxyS21 FE should indeed integrate the catalog of Samsung smartphones in 2022. Admittedly, with a little delay, because the “Fan Edition” version is usually expected in August. But the events related to Covid-19 and the shortage of components have disrupted the company's schedule.
This GalaxyS21 FE, which will use the recipe of the high-end S21s, but with a few small concessions to bring its price down, could well land at the start of 2022. And this with a little surprise which is not to displease us, if we are to believe the information from SamMobile relayed by 9to5Google.
More interesting software tracking
According to the media, this S21 FE could carry Android version 12 (One UI4) on board as soon as it is released. As a reminder, the GalaxyS21, S21 Plus and S21 Ultra were only entitled to Android11 under One UI 3.1 at the time of their marketing. Logical, you will say, since Android12 was still under development at the time.

Nevertheless, this small difference would allow the GalaxyS21 FE to considerably stand out from its friends in terms of software experience. As a reminder, Samsung phones are limited to three years of major Android updates. That means the S21 FE will sample Android13, Android14, and Android15.
The high-end S21s, on the other hand, won't go as far – all the way to Android 14 – given the version of Android they launched with. Admittedly, the Fan Edition version would opt for a few compromises, especially in terms of the photo if we are to believe the rumours, but its software monitoring should be much more advanced.
beautiful playing cards
The GalaxyS20 FE was a great success when it was released and was an excellent alternative thanks to a delicious price-performance ratio. It's roughly the same formula that Samsung is preparing for its S21 FE, but with an additional advantage which is at the level of the software experience.
This mobile device could also aspire to an additional year of security updates – Samsung plans four for its high-end phones – which is also an interesting argument. In short, the GalaxyS21 FE probably has good cards to play to establish itself as a small must-have for the start of 2022.
