The LG printer in the center surrounded on the left of an iPhone, to the right of the Pogo de Polaroid.

If our test printer is iOS, Android compatible and with Bluethooth, USB and NFC connections (Near Field Communication), this is not the case for all models. The Pocket Photo would also exist in Android NFC version only, a version that does not appear on the LG site and for the time being marketed.Be careful at the time of purchase.

The connection of nomadic devices with the printer is child's play, whatever the configuration chosen.Android smartphones and tablets as iOS recognize the device in the blink of an eye and connect directly. To launch the prints, the user must go through a dedicated (free) Pocket Photo app to download on their iOS or Android device.

Please note, the LG Pocket does not have internal memory, unlike a laser or inkjet printer. The user will not be able to select 10 photos to print; They will have to choose 2 by 2. In the series of "limitations": do not try to insert more than 10 sheets in the printer under penalty of generating paper jams.

Printing speed: fast

In Bluetooth, it takes between 10 and 25 seconds to send a file.Depending on the weight of the photo, the loading time varies between 10 and 20 seconds from one photo to another. The printing speed is also quite random depending on the files.Announced at 30 seconds by the manufacturer, our measures vary between 30 and 50 seconds, or 40 seconds on average. It's all quick.

Photo quality: Good

To our surprise, the colors are rather faithful to the eye.A feeling confirmed by our measures to the probe (cf. graphic below). For the record, the measurement of DE allows to measure the fidelity of colors: the higher the value, the more it is far from the one awaited. Here we note a dominant of green which, however, is not obvious in the photos that we printed during the tests.Be careful, if the photos are in too low definition, or taken with a mediocre photo smartphone, the impression result will be disappointing.
