It is obvious that the mini-LED is only an intermediate step for Apple, it makes sense.
On the other hand, going through the OLED stage would be a bit silly for iPad and Mac screens.
Better to keep the Mini-LED until it is possible to produce enough micro-LED to switch to this technology.
On a Mac, the OLED could create more problems than anything else since many elements are static and could lead to burn-in and Apple would not hesitate to say "it's normal wear and tear of an OLED screen.
On the iPhone it's fine since you constantly manipulate it and then lock it.
The Mini-LED is satisfactory on Ipad pro, except when you are in the dark, there you can unfortunately see the luminous halos, a defect which remains inherent in this technology. But in terms of contrasts, and especially the depth of the blacks, it's enough for a good while.
