We must end the unacceptable dysfunctions which undermine the morale of our fighting troops and hamper their effectiveness in the fight against armed groups terrorist.

While welcoming the heroism and bravery of our defense and security forces, as well as the determined commitment of our volunteers for the defense of the fatherland, I would like to pay them the deserved tribute to the grateful nation.

I associate with this tribute, all the civil and military victims of terrorism and I reiterate my wishes for speedy recovery to the wounded.

To the bereaved and bruised families in their flesh, to the widows and orphans of this unjust war, I renew my solidarity and that of the whole people.

As much, we must be one with our defense and security forces to support and encourage them in the heroic combat they lead, as much we must be intransigent with all the elements whose behavior is not acceptable.

Individually and collectively, we must carry this change in behavior to put an end to incivism, challenge of authority and all other attitudes that do not make us worthy Burkinabè.

We must therefore commit us together to continue the work of construction of our nation in accordance with the constitution, laws and regulations of the Republic.

I expect each and each of my compatriots, whether he cultivates all the values that make the dignity of Burkinabè, in a spirit of solidarity and great compassion for all people affected by terrorism and thosewho live below the poverty line.

In my capacity as President of Faso, I would like to invite everyone who is able to keep and not to believe that it is by breaking the thermometer that we heal fever.

The Burkinabè people have the right and the duty to express themselves freely on the conduct of public affairs.And I want it particularly.

This is why, I invite our valiant youth to show discernment, vigilance and restraint, by standing out from all the sellers of illusions who want to undermine the foundations of our nation.

As an extension of the reorganization of our national armed forces, I started making decisions to make changes that will be known incessantly.

I will take care scrupulously, more than in the past, on issues of logistics, premiums and strengthening of the operational capacities of our combating forces.

To achieve maximum efficiency, the solidarity of all the components of our national armed forces is essential and requires the effective and active presence of military leaders on the theater of operations, alongside the troupe.

In terms of government, the continuation of investments in the security sector and the implementation of PNDES commitments call for refocusing and greater rationalization in the functioning of our administrations and institutions.

The current circumstances call me on the need to build a tight and more united team to keep us on the trajectory of economic growth, and the continuation of the fight against terrorism.I will use it in the coming days.
