Out of the office, we muscle our backs
This is the best way to strengthen it and protect the spine. Strong muscles guaranteeing better spinal support. It is therefore advisable to practice a moderate but regular sporting activity. Disciplines to focus on? Swimming, at the rate of two or three sessions per week, preferably in back crawl (especially not breaststroke which accentuates the arch of the back and tires the cervical!) or in crawl (provided you remain well symmetrical).
Stretching, which combines strength training and stretching of tendons and ligaments. Yoga, which allows you to build muscles without sudden tension, just like Tai-chi and Qi-Jong. Walking, provided you avoid long strides which impose a greater torsion of the column. And finally, the bike (not the mountain bike!), taking care to be well seated.
