If you have recently yielded to the sirens of marvelous mechanical keyboards, which Caffeine regularly harps on your ears, QWaccent is a little tool that should help you write better in French on your new TKL QWERTY toy, provided it is ISO.
Derived from the “UK Extended” layout, the configuration proposed by QWaccent adds the essential diacritical marks used in French (acute, grave and circumflex accent, umlaut), just to make the accented characters easily accessible. Attention, it is only of interest if your keyboard offers an ISO layout (small reminder on the difference between ANSI and ISO here).
QWaccent (which is only available for Windows) can be downloaded from GitHub, installed in two clicks, and activated in the traditional way via the language bar. Plus, it's developed by a Geekzonian (hello Twin), all the more reason to give it some publicity!
