On September 7, Bouygues Telecom Business & Distribution activated the Premium Voice service on the packages of its brands: NRJ Mobile, Auchan Telecom, CDiscount Mobile, CIC Mobile and Crédit Mutuel Mobile. Since September 7, new subscribers automatically benefit from the Premium Calls option for WiFi Calls and VoLTE services free of charge. Subscribers before September 7 must activate the free Premium Voice option in the Customer Area.
WiFi Calls allow you to send and receive calls or text messages using the WiFi network to which the device is connected. They make it possible to extend mobile coverage to WiFi networks. For its part, 4G calls allow calls and SMS to be made over the 4G Internet network. Without this service, 4G phones switch to 2G/3G networks to make the call or SMS. For now, only Samsung Galaxy S20 / Galaxy S20 5G / Galaxy S20+ / Galaxy S20+ 5G / Galaxy S20 Ultra 5G smartphones are compatible with the Premium Calls option, after updating the mobile software.
