A sentence accompanied by a heavy fine of 7 million euros to be paid to the M6 group as well as the obligation to stop broadcasting its channels. Since March 31, 2018, the expiry date of a contract binding M6 to Molotov, the latter no longer had the right to offer this content, recalls the Parisian. We could however continue to watch them, in the absence of the recording function.
Molotov's activity could suffer again in 2022 since a judgment is expected on a similar case with the TF1 group, which filed a complaint two years ago. The first channel and Molotov could not agree on the amount of the extension of their contract, which would have gone from 1.5 million euros per year to 5 million.
Molotov made no comment to the Parisian, nor signified his intentions in view of the judgment rendered for M6.
