A decree of December 26, obliges operators to offer a free option to block overvoltage numbers on mobile and Internet offers.Orange, Free, SFR, NRJ Mobile and La Poste Mobile offer a dedicated option.Bouygues Telecom and the other MVNOs are late.
In a decree of December 26, 2017, taken for a provision of the law for a digital republic of 2016, the State obliges operators to offer a free option to block SVA numbers from March 1 on mobile and Internet offers.
A free blocking option for certain special numbers
The law for a 2016 digital republic included the obligation to offer a free option allowing the blocking of special numbers. The decree of December 26, 2017 gave mobile and internet operators the obligation to offer one to their customers.
Thus, the decree defines the numbers to be blocked: "The numbers starting with 089, the short 3BPQ format numbers (excluding 30pq and 31pq) and the numbers of the private plans of the operators which are subject to a surcharge and in particular theNumbers of SMS surcharged with an act and 3xxxx format subscription, 4xxxx, 5xxxx, 6xxxx, 7xxxx and 8xxxx. "The other SVA numbers are accessible.
Large operators already ready, Bouygues Telecom and Les MVNO late
Free, the mobile post, NRJ Mobile, Orange and SFR offer a service included for blocking special numbers to activate. To activate it (or deactivate the special numbers service), subscribers will have to go to their customer area on the web or from dedicated applications.
