A first configuration window allows, for example, to run the software when the computer starts or to activate biometric recognition. This last option requires registration with Enpass via email (a code is sent). Registration is not required, but provides access to a few additional features, including 25 passwords on mobile.
Surprisingly enough, and while Enpass can be used as an application to obtain a temporary authentication code (Time-based One-time Passwords, or TOTP) to unlock access to certain sites, it does not offer this solution to access your own safe with a third-party application. It is no longer possible to use a U2F (Universal 2 Factor) physical authentication key offered by the Fido alliance, such as Yubikey or Thetis.
Fortunately, it is possible to use a PIN code (Personal Identification Number with at least four characters) to facilitate access to the safe.
