Announced as a summer must-have for traveling to Europe, the EU Digital Covid Certificate has been available since Friday on the Health Insurance website dedicated to vaccination. Better known as a health pass, it “allows in particular to reopen and resume activities bringing together a large number of people and also to facilitate border crossings”, explains the government on its site.
How to get your health pass?
Free and not mandatory, this document serves as health proof. If you are already vaccinated, you must connect to the teleservice developed by Health Insurance: attestation-vaccin.ameli.fr. The connection is made via FranceConnect and makes it easy to retrieve the precious sesame. You then have two options:
– print and fold the document in four to carry it in paper format. You will then have a mini vaccination record of four pages. Note that the Ministry of Solidarity and Health recommends folding the document and presenting only the QR Code “for the sake of confidentiality”;
– scan the QR Code of the document in the TousAntiCovid application. Once imported, the certificate will be stored locally in your phone. In this case, you simply need to have TousAntiCovid on your smartphone.
Only vaccinated people are currently affected. On July 1st, it will also be possible to present the health pass to prove a recent negative PCR test or immunity following covid-19 infection. European, this certificate takes into account the vaccines authorized in the European Union, namely Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca/Oxford and Janssen. The 27 Member States (Germany, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Croatia, Denmark, Spain, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal , Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Sweden, as well as Iceland, Lichtenstein, Norway and Switzerland, have officially approved the European health pass.
In addition to the possibility of traveling to certain countries, this certificate will open access to certain events (festivals, sports competitions, fairs, concert halls, etc.) bringing together more than 1,000 people. It must remain in force until September 30, 2021, at a minimum.
