Basically, a high resolution panel displays any screen surface: 1920x1080 (the workspace of a 22") or 2560x1440 (the workspace of a 27") or many others, everything is possible, as long as we are below the resolution of the panel (3840x2160. pixels)

But we can also decide that we are doing things "wrong". After all, a pixel cut in 2 in width and in height (therefore cut in 4), it's a very small pixel, so good... why bother doing things right when you're a PC builder, and that 'we are more than an aberration (remember, 27 "screens in 1920x1080 ... for example) so we offer a 4K panel in a 27" monitor. It's very small, people won't be careful

And once we've done that...well, it's no limit, so we offer even bigger screens, but still with our 4K panel. 31", then 32", then 34", and even 40"

In the end, the basic idea is completely screwed up: to offer pixels so small that they can no longer be seen with the naked eye, this allowing a smoothing worthy of a paper rendering.

And it's true, it works ... when you buy Apple products (iPhone, iPad, iMac, ultrathin LG screen).

Otherwise it's not true, it's mini pixels more very mini, it's disgusting smoothing, it's gear for users not demanding on anything. It is enough to see the truly hideous design of the majority of laptop or desktop PCs to make a judgment
