Intervention of the judge
The misadventure of this Texan lawyer made the buzz on the Web. While participating in a videoconference hearing via Zoom, Rod Ponton suddenly appeared in the guise of a kitten with big eyes. Following a technical problem beyond his control, the filter replaced his face with that of an adorable kitten. Judge Roy Ferguson tried to help by informing him that he had a filter activated in the video settings. The Zoom video conferencing service has many augmented reality filters. The user's facial movements are then replaced with animal heads.
"It's me live, I'm not a cat."
Unfortunately, the Texas attorney didn't know how to remove. “My assistant is here with me, she tries,” replies the cat, nodding. "It's me live, I'm not a cat.", he let go, desperate. Amused, the judge assures him that he saw this. This unusual fact spotted by 20 Minutes amused Internet users for a while. Rod Ponton also told the My San Antonio site that he was happy to bring a moment of happiness to Internet users in these difficult times. "If I can make everyone laugh for a moment at my expense, that's fine with me," he said.
Asked by the Vice site, Rod Ponton explained that he participated in the hearing using his assistant's computer. The lawyer failed to disable the filter until after 30 seconds.
